Historically, the NIF has held Fixed Income type securities in the form of loans and bonds, Equity and Real Estate investments, many of which have matured or are scheduled to in the near future. Currently, the Domestic Investment portfolio is underutilized. The NIB is desirous of achieving its target for domestic investments by populating the portfolio with high quality, investment grade projects that meet its domestic investment criterion and return objectives and is actively seeking qualifiable opportunities.
The NIF restricts debt investments to no less than $1m and equity investments to a lower limit of $250k.
