The National Insurance Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Rhesa Cartwright as its CEO.

Miss Cartwright has over two decades of experience. She joined as Branch Manager of the Providenciales Office and has been acting CEO since December 2017. She previously worked with Barclays Bank PLC and served in several capacities from entry to supervisory level positions during her tenure.

Miss Cartwright is aptly qualified and believes that she was being prepared for this role for the last twenty-two years. She holds a Diploma in Management, specifically for Social Security practitioners, completing the program with distinction, and earning “Top Performer” of her cohort and an MBA from University of the West Indies. She has had training in specialized areas such as Actuarial and Financial Report analysis, Risk Management and Strategic Planning.

Miss Cartwright has a track record of achievement, winning Manager of the Year Awards and the NIB Sprit Award in recognition of her commitment to the organization.

As Deputy Director Corporate Services, she had direct supervisory responsibility for the HR, Legal, Marketing, Research, and Information Technology departments. Previously, she had responsibility for Benefits, Compliance, Data Entry and Customer Service, making her well-rounded in the operations of the institution. She sits on the Board’s Investment, Budget and Audit Sub-Committees.

Miss Cartwright commented, “I am pleased to assume this new role and look forward to driving the execution of our Strategic Plan. My key focus will be extending the longevity of the fund, improving customer service, introducing new technology and improving staff satisfaction.
