The TCI National Insurance Board is currently looking for a candidate to fill the position of Deputy Financial Controller within the Accounts Department.

Job duties:
•Supervision under the direction of the Financial Controller of staff in the Finance & Accounts Department.
•Updating of monthly Investment Schedules and preparation of Journals.
•Assistance with Preparation of Monthly Financial Statements.
•Reconciliation of Balance Sheet and income statement accounts with the General Ledger as directed by the Financial Controller.
•Review and assist with the compilation of payroll data.
•Assisting departmental staff with the reconciliation of various bank accounts.
•Provision of financial support services to departmental managers across NIB.
•Assistance with the preparation of annual budgets.
•Ensures proper accounting and security of cash.
•Review of Fixed Assists Register, tagging of assets and assisting with assets management.
•Annual and biannual appraisal of staff in the department
•Assistance with the training and the development of staff in the department.
•Assisting with the development and implementation of financial management systems to protect the resources of the Board.
•Review of all journals before approval by FC
•Perform such other duties and responsibilities as may be determined by the Financial Controller from time to time.
•Acting as Secretary to the Investment Committee

Qualification & Experience
This position requires a MBA and ACCA\CPA professional designation or its equivalent. At least four (4) years post qualification experience in a similar corporate position.
In addition, the position requires competence and expertise in:
•Financial administration and reporting
•Budget planning and management
•Financial analysis
•Human Resource Management skills
•Financial Reporting and Technical Writing
•Use of computer and information technology for financial management analysis and reporting
•Project Management
•Communication
•Leadership

Remuneration:
Salary will be in the salary range $55,001-$70,000 Grade 7A and will be determined based on qualification and experience.

Location:
The National Insurance Board Head Office in Grand Turk or Providenciales Branch Office.
