The Turks and Caicos Islands’ National Insurance Board is also pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs. Esther-Ann Harvey, CPA, to the post of Financial Controller. The appointment takes effect on February 1, 2023.
Mrs. Harvey holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Degree in Accounting with Second Class Honors (Upper Division) from the University of the West Indies and an Associate Degree in Arts, majoring in Accounting & Information Technology, with Credit, from the Barbados Community College.
Mrs. Harvey’s professional career began in the private sector as a Junior Auditor with Ernst & Young in Barbados. She then progressed to being the Accountant and Office Manager before migrating to the Turks and Caicos Islands in 2020.
Esther-Ann joined the NIB in July of 2020 as an Accountant and was further promoted to Deputy Financial Controller in April 2022.
Commenting on her appointment, Mrs. Harvey stated:
“I am honored and extremely thankful for being given the opportunity to represent the Turks and Caicos Islands in my new post. My educational background and work experience have given me the necessary skills to be an asset to the institution. Managing the funds of the Social Security of the people of the Turks and Caicos Islands is a big responsibility, which I plan on facing head on with dedication, conscientiousness, and integrity. I will strive to ensure my contribution to the Turks and Caicos National Insurance Board helps to bring about its mission, “To be fiscally prudent in the provision of dependable, transparent and excellent social security to the aged, working population and dependents, of the Turks & Caicos Islands and its people”.
