WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

A Non-Contributory Old Age Pension is payable to an elderly resident of the Turks and Caicos Islands who has reached the age of 68 years and is not eligible for a regular Retirement Pension due to insufficient contributions to the National Insurance Fund.

The applicant must have been a resident of the Turks and Caicos Islands for at least 20 out of the 30 years immediately before the date of application. The applicant must not be in receipt of a Retirement Pension or Invalidity Pension that equals or exceeds the Non-Contributory rate, and must not be an inmate of a government institution.

Residency requirement definition: A person is considered eligible if he/she has maintained residency in the Turks and Caicos Islands for a minimum of 20 years within the 30-year period immediately preceding the application for this pension.
